Kusatsu Onsen is located in Gunma prefecture, approximately a 3 hour train ride from Tokyo. It is one of the most famous and popular Onsen (hot spring) resorts in Japan, whose waters offer healing powers from deep inside the earth. Kusatsu Onsen's waters have been flowing for centuries and it boasts the highest water flow in all of Japan.
The "Kusatsu Onsen FUREAI Tour"is planned and organized by the Kusatsu Onsen Tourism Association as part of its inbound tourism promotion project. Kusatsu Onsen's Tourism Supporters (local volunteers) will guide you on a casual and friendly tour around the Yubatake,or hot water field, which is the largest hot spring source in Kusatsu located at the center of the town. The Tourism Supporters will present the highlights of Kusatsu Onsen, mainly in Japanese.
Kusatsu Onsen Toursim Association would like to invite 9 pairs of foreign guests who have at least a daily conversation level of Japanese proficiency for the event as tourism monitors. For the monitors, 1 night in a Ryokan ﾐ a traditional Japanese style hotel is offered for free!
